For Module 4 the assessment and the lessons were on Team management. Nowadays as a leader or a manager team management has really become an important task. There were 6 lessons that taught us about Team management. The first lesson started with the discussion of how organizations depend on high-performing teams. There is a lot of complex projects that require a lot of teams. The team or the group must have a shared identity, have complementary skills, and also have the ability to collaborate well around a common purpose. Then the lesson starts explaining the formation of the team to establish a mission and identify the skills that we need and also recruit the people. A good mission always inspires commitment and also unifies the group. Before assigning someone to a team the lesson suggests that we must go through the recruitment process. We can then aim for the personality skills and different perspectives. We can also try to include some new and innovative people in the team. The lesson also suggests that for the team that is not well established we can take the steps to quickly build trust by meeting them often and also create a bond and building the group identity. Also having so many team members from a different background it is important to create a team etiquette guideline. They can also confirm how they do things around here.
